I am pleased to anounce the Rasmus and Nancy Christensen Reunion will be held again this year (2022) first weekend in August, 5th and 6th, in conjuction with the Downey Fair. It will be held in Downey at the same park as last year.

I enjoyed attending the 2021 Rasmus and Nancy Christensen Reunion. I think it was a success and those that attended had a good time.  It was nice to visit and share a bit of our lives with each other and reconnect in our extended family. I believe that grandma and grandpa would approve of our effort.

I was glad to be able to attend the 2021 Rasmus and Nancy Christensen Reunion. I think those that were there had a great time. It was nice to visit and share our lives a little bit. I think we need this in order to reconnect in our extended family. I can't help but believe that grandma and grandpa would approve of our effort.

-REUNION COMMITTEE ELECTION
-4:00PM Yard Games with Prizes
-Visit as long as you like
-Gourmet S’mores, Root Beer, Watermelon, Corn on the Cob
-5:30PM Dutch oven cook-off and recipe share
-Splashpad is available to the public at Woodland Park
-Downata Hot Springs hours and rates are available on their website. Special Labor Day weekend hours
-We have reserved the pavilion at Woodland Park September 4-6 so you may use it for meals, parking, and meeting within our smaller family units.
-The Eastern Idaho State Fair in Blackfoot starts Labor Day Weekend.

-Salad, Dessert, or Side Dish to Share at the Pot Luck Lunch
-Item(s) for the Auction
-Story to share
-Lawn Chairs and/or Picnic Blankets for your family
-Don’t forget everything you need to cook and serve for Dutch oven cook-off entry

As a side note: Our family has been out of town since July 3, and still out exploring our beautiful country’s great history. I will be home on August 3. Please forgive the lack of communication about the reunion. There is an event created about the reunion on Facebook. Please share it with your Facebook groups and please invite family that do not use Facebook. Please provide updated addresses and phone numbers to send an invitation by mail.

2016 Bowman Reunion (Tripps) will be held July 9 at Richmond, Utah city park. Bring pot luck and wraped gift to auction.

The Rasmus and Nancy Christensen Reunion has been cacceled for 2016. hopefully it will be held next year in 2017. Althea can provide more information.

         The Golden Christensen Gathering was busy and fun. There were 30 people in attendance that included the local missionaries who found their way into our camp for a few meals. We must say that we ate well and had some great activities. Thanks everyone for your participation. If you missed it, we hope to see you all next year.    

   Hello, Hello everyone just a word about the Rasmus and Nancy Christensen Reunion 2013 in Downetta. I was glad to see everyone that decided to come. There were not as many people as I would have liked to have seen, but on the other hand I have been to reunions where there was far fewer in attendance. Nice job Tracy.

The Christensen reunion in Brigham City was fun for all in attendance.  We have early notice for next years 2012 reunion, infact it will be held the week end of June 15-16 at Downata Hot Springs, which is the 3 rd week end in June.  The camp has already been reserved. Hope you will make plans to come to the reunion on this weekend.  More information will be shared as the time gets closer. I have added a few more links to the Christensen Links page. I hope they will be helpful to those of you doing research.    

James Christensen (Earsel's) made contact with me through the web site 'Find A Grave" where we both have accounts. We discovered that we are first cousins once removed, his father being my cousin.  We mentioned the possibility of sharing information and I gave him the address of this web site.  James was very excited about  the photos and the links posted here that  he had not seen before.  James also has a Private web site on Geni.com   where he added my  name to his tree and then invited me to join. 

 James web site is Private,  so he can include living people.  Making it  possible to see each other as cousins and descendants of  Rasmus and Nancy Melvina Christensen and easily see our relationship to each other.  Which is Way  Ccol.

My web site is a Public, so I have to be careful about adding much information on the living, because of identity  theft  and privacy..  I focus on the direct line ancestors and also photos and such of other family members  that  have passed away.  I have stuff on side lines that will probably never make it to my web site due to lack of space availability and public interest.

I plan to add a link, to James's Geni site, but you need a pass word to sign in.

Some new features have been added to the site between now and when I last wrote in the blog.  I have added two new pages.  This is where I will put most of the stuff that other people share with me, as well as some of my own research.

 The page called 'More Christensen and Tripp Stuff' will contain Digital Images.  These images may not work well on the other pages, but they can be shared here.  Other people can share Images here as well. 

The page called 'My Shared Files' are things that are not Digital Images, This will possibly be  histories, Gedcom, genealogy insights, or other things that can be sharred.  The draw back is that you have to down load these to your own computer in order to view what is on the shared files. 

 To submit things to these pages you may contact the web creator by using the Guest book & Blog.
